Our CAS family is very excited to announce the opening of a newly formed company, CAS-SFO, Inc. in San Francisco, California!

We are happy to be a part of the MWH/Webcor Construction Manager/General Contractor team for the Southeast Water Pollution Control Plant Biosolids Digester Facilities Project. In 2017, the Public Utilities Commission approved pre-construction of this $938 Million project.

The existing digester and solids handling facilities are not designed to current standards to withstand a major seismic event. This aging infrastructure is in critical need of replacement and new facilities are needed to maintain long-term permit/regulatory compliance and system reliability.

The proposed new replacement biosolids digester facilities will include: solids thickening, digestion pretreatment, anaerobic digestion, gas handling, energy generation/recovery, dewatering, odor control, automated control systems, and related ancillary processes. The new facilities would promote full beneficial use of biosolids and biogas, sustainability, in addition to, minimizing impacts to the neighborhood with respect to visual aesthetics, odors, and noise.

Construction is expected to start in 2019 with substantial completion expected in 2023. Testing and startup is expected in 2025.
