SH 130 Toll Road Project

The purpose of this project was to relieve the Interstate 35's traffic volume through the Austin-San Antonio corridor by serving as an alternate route. SH 130 is a toll road from IH-35 in Georgetown to US 183 and SH 45 in Central Texas.

Segments 5 & 6 of State Highway 130 form a 41-mile link through Travis, Caldwell and Guadalupe counties to I-10 near Seguin. This $1.35 billion project was designed, built, and is operated by the SH 130 Concession Company, LLC (Cintra-Zachry) in partnership with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).

CAS served as a subconsultant to AECOM for the design of SH 130. The project consisted of more than 60 miles and 300 culverts. CAS served as the Design Engineer for a portion of Segment 6.1n and all of Segment 6.1s (approximately 30 miles). CAS also served as the Drainage Design Manager for Segments 5.1, 5.2, & 6.1, where CAS established drainage design procedures and methodologies for this project.
