Project Description:
Austin Energy wished to construct a new maintenance facility in 2003 for Sand Hill, their newest power plant. The power plant, which was completed in 2001, produces 180 megawatts of power and cost a total of $93.7 million.

Services Provided:
CAS, as a subconsultant to Encotech Engineering Consultants, Inc., provided the following civil site design services:

• Conducted hydrologic and hydraulic analysis for the site
• Developed site grading and erosion control design
• Prepared utility plans and details for water, wastewater and compressed air services
• Provided pavement design for the driveway to the new maintenance building
• Prepared construction quantity estimates
• Prepared construction cost estimates
