CAS is serving as a sub-consultant to Earth Tech. CAS is the Drainage Discipline Manager for Segments 5.1, 5.2, & 6.1 and the Design Engineer for Segment 6.1. The Drainage Team includes Professional Engineers, Engineers in Training, technicians, and CAD personnel from CAS and Earth Tech. The CAS Drainage Discipline Manager has established design procedures and methodologies for bridge, culvert, ditch, and storm drain design and is providing drainage expertise in management meetings involving roadway, structures, utilities, environmental, lighting, and landscape design managers. CAS has also represented drainage design issues and provided solutions at the contractor/designer meetings. The CAS Segment 6.1 Engineer has designed bridges and bridge class box culverts using HEC-RAS for FEMA and non-FEMA streams. THYSYS and HY-8 have been used to design smaller box and pipe culverts. Ditch grades and drainage easements have been determined for ROW and property acquisition. The Schematic level work is nearing completion and the final design work will begin in the near future to finalize the bridges and culverts and to design the storm drain systems and SW3P controls.
