Project Description:
The project consists of designing a right-turn lane from south-bound South 1st Street onto the west-bound frontage road of US Highway 290 West (Ben White Boulevard). The new turn lane was necessary to relieve rush hour traffic flowing to the westbound frontage road. The project involved an alternative roadway alignment which avoided impacting a protected tree. The turn lane requires the acquisition of additional Right-Of-Way and the replacement of associated improvements.
