Project Description:
The project consists of designing a right-turn lane from southbound South Congress Avenue onto the westbound frontage road of US Highway 290 West (Ben White Boulevard). The new turn lane was necessary to relieve rush hour traffic flowing to the westbound frontage road. The project involved an alternative roadway alignment which avoided impacting an existing major electric transmission power pole. The addition of the turn lane was accomplished within the existing Right-of-Way.
