Project Description:
The project includes on-call services for the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).  The work involves providing engineering services for preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) for various projects in both urban and rural settings within the 12 counties of the San Antonio District. Due to budget issues, this project has been put on hold at the 25% phase.

Services Provided:
CAS is providing drainage design services. Hydrologic studies will involve field studies and verification; preparing drainage area maps; researching and reviewing the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s applicable existing studies; and coordinating with FEMA as necessary, and calculating design flowrates using the Rational method and Regional Regression Equations. Hydraulic drainage studies and documentation will involve performing hydraulic computations for specific design flow frequencies at all bridges, culverts, storm drains, and channels; scour calculations; shear stress calculations; locations and sizes of drainage easements; construction quantities for drainage structures; and storm water pollution prevention plan layouts. CAS is serving as a subconsultant to Earth Tech.
