Project Description:
The University of Texas System Board of Regents desired a master planner for the redevelopment of the 346-acre, UT-owned Brackenridge Tract along Lady Bird Lake in Austin, Texas. The tract includes a 141-acre golf course, more than 500 graduate student apartments and an 88-acre biological field lab. The project is to develop two conceptual master plans for the Brackenridge Tract that present world class planning visions for the tract and that establish The University of Texas at Austin and the City of Austin as leaders in the strategic use of a university assets.

Services Provided:
CAS performed infrastructure and environmental related data collection, reviewed the data and coordinated with the Team the findings, including issues that may impact on the development concepts being considered. Data gathered included inventory of existing streets, parking, utility infrastructure, including capacity and potential for extension of services, as well as a topography and floodplain analysis. CAS provided coordination and leadership in dealing with regulatory agencies, including the City of Austin and related Utility Companies. CAS prepared construction cost estimates for all recommended related infrastructure improvements.
