Senior Project Manager | Austin, TX


QUALIFICATIONS:

-Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, a related field, or foreign equivalent.

-Two (2) years of progressively responsible experience as an Engineering Associate with experience planning and executing water, wastewater, and utility projects.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Manage work involving the coordination of one or more large or moderately complex projects or activities in civil engineering with minimal supervision. Manage the design, development, and implementation of projects to include, but not limited to, defining project requirements; obtaining staffing requirements; and forming project teams. Oversee subconsultant selection and administer subconsultant services, including negotiating contract terms and fees by negotiating the contract, approving the consultant’s product, approving payment to subconsultants, initiating poor performance remedies, etc. Develop short- and long-range plans for future and ongoing projects, including estimating timelines for start-up and completion of projects. Manager, monitor, and review contracts/budgets and contractors to ensure compliance with contractual obligations, including administering supplemental amendments and estimates. Coordinate and prepare reports and correspondence in response to requests from operations management or the financial team. Prepare and deliver presentations to internal design team, clients, and/or industry professionals. Suggest and implement management solutions to address challenges faced by project teams. Manage the performance of professional staff in work involving design projects. Assist in planning, directing, and coordinating, through subordinate level staff, project work plans. Meet with management staff to identify and resolve problems and assign projects and project responsibilities. Review and evaluate work methods and procedures of subordinates. Provide technical advice and assistance to project teams. Approximately 10% domestic travel required.
