The project consisted of design and construction of the SH-71 Toll Lanes from Presidential Boulevard to east of SH-130 in Austin, along with the realignment of FM-973 south of the Colorado River to approximately 0.5 miles south of the current SH-71 / FM-973 intersection through a design-build contract.

The SH-71 Toll Lanes Project includes toll lanes, general purpose lanes, overpass at FM-973, overpass at SH-130, City street connections, FM-973 realignment and tie-in transitions to SH-71, shared use pedestrian path and all associated drainage and utility relocations.

CAS provided Utility Coordination (FC130 Right of Way Data – Utility Location and Layouts); design of City of Austin Water, Wastewater, and Reclaimed Water lines as part of the miscellaneous roadway design task (FC 163 Miscellaneous Roadway) and assisted with drainage design (FC 161 Drainage).
